My experience has never been that someone just hires a hauling company.
It always involves the family picking through big piles of stuff, seeing
what is valuable and what isn't, and, in the end, yes, hiring someone to
haul away the rest, clean the place, and sell it.  It's the first two
steps that I'm hoping to either avoid or minimize.
