Maybe his thinking is that, once the abortion happens, it's over and done
with, whereas a marriage is "forever"?

I think we've already seen the chaos that getting rid of a nationwide
right to abortion has done, and getting rid of same-sex marriage would
bring about the same amount of chaos.

I do think Heather's argument that conservatives now seek a dictatorship
and Trump fits that model for them is very compelling.  The results of
next month's election may help clarify that.
