Basically, I think most companies have stopped advertising for jobs at all except for those really-impossible-to-find jobs. It seems that the only way to get positions is to know someone in the company since positions are only "advertised" internally. I've been interviewing (via phone) with Peoplesoft simply 'cause I know someone there. And someone else is trying to get me into Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories. It's really disgusting that it has to be this way, frankly. Life will be happier when people start investing in technology again.
