It's a non-union job; that's why it's part-time and only $20/hour, but it may go to a full-time union job later. > By the way, AC Transit is > threatening to stop ALL weekend service come July 1 since the gov is cutting > $20 million to AC. It may be because I send my resume in so early and/or my resume looks just good enough. But, there's still a lot of competition and, due to sheer probabilities, I lose out. (I read an article that said that unemployment for engineers stands at 6.2%.) Most of the opportunities which I have been getting interviews for are non-benefits contract work. > I have been sending off resumes to selective jobs that you've > been passing on. Certainly, I have never had a response from my Monster resume (where you only get chronological format for the resume). I've changed to a functional format for my resume and I still do get responses to my resume, mostly from the ones posted on craigslist.
