That wasn't bad - the face value was 75 and that didn't include the service fee. Do you think you'll stay over too? Our first choice place for walking distance was the Hotel Durant but they were sold out. I just made a reservation for 2 rooms at the Beau Sky Hotel which is on Durant across from Kingpin, etc. but I can cancel within 48 hrs. Rooms were 154 for King and 144 for Queen. They only had 1 King. The online reviews were either really bad or really good. No frills and might be noisy too but walking distance. There are a few otheroptions too. Also within walking distance is the City Club. I had never
heard of this and it sounds sort of cool. It is on the southside of campus and also walking distance in an old Julia Morgan building. The reviews were generally good. I think it is sort of basic too and not very luxurious but it seemed to have it's charm and after looking things over, I thought this may be better than the Beau Sky. Rooms were around 175 I believe. There is the Claremont which would be the most upscale but driving distance. They had rooms available for 169+ depending on room type. There is also the Doubletree on the Marina which is around 135. I think I would probably favor the City Club or Claremont depending on if you would want to be walking distance. Michele In a message dated 5/11/2009 7:50:12 A.M. A recruiter for Kforce(they have contracts with hospitals to provide them with contract coders)kept calling me. my ex-coworker ERika works for them and said she was sure they would like me to work at Kaiser Santa Clara. I don't want to add to the coder shortage, in that hospitals start to rely on contractors and don't bother to train people and grow their own coders. The hospital doesn't have enough $ to hire more people, since we have to treat the poor, and they lost a lot of $ because of the Medicare 1 day stays.Liza mentioned that they were doing pre-audit audits at her group and it's a waste of time.I don't know how the audit will help us either. What hotel are you going to stay in 6/26? NG
