Although I thought was at the same level of pain, she convinced me
otherwise -- that I am better.
She said I'm definitely not in need of surgery, and, in any case, pain is
not sufficient motivation for surgery, only disfunction. (We went over
the MRI report and she translated it, line by line, from the medical-ese
into layman terms. She also did some tests and I passed with flying
colors.)
Her prescription is to continue with the NSAIDs (ibuprofen) for 4 more
weeks and, if I don't feel better by then, get therapy. (She gave me a
prescription for therapy which I can exercise if by week 4 I don't feel
better.)
So, for now, steady as she goes...
