    My co-worker is taking his midyear holiday tomorrow. I guess "mid-year day" is a matter of opinion (and a quirk b/c the rotation of the earth versus the revolving of the earth around the sun (i.e., leap years)).

    That's why I put an upper limit of $400K. That would leave us $50K, which should last us 1.5 years if I were to get laid off. Is there any reason to have more than a 1.5 year cushion?

    I don't think the mortgage deduction covers the cost of the original loan. So, I think it's always advantageous to pay in cash if it is an option.

    OK. I was reading that putting toasted sesame oil into your ear is a good way to soften ear wax. Do you think that's for real?

    Well, "they" say that if you stick some toasted sesame oil in your ear, leave it for a few days, and then use debrox, it works better 'cause the wax is softer. Is it worth downloading?
