shell or VPS account?

How's everything going?  Work?  Life?

We're going to be in  this weekend.  We will arrive there at about 1pm.  We may meet up with various people.

We're probably going to eat a pre-dinner dessert at Crixa Cakes some time between 3:30pm and 6pm.  You could call us on Noelle's cell phone at our-Oakland-cell-phone-number so we could meet up.

But!  That's not why I initially wrote.

My existing computer at home is having problems and I'm thinking of just getting a shell or VPS account instead since I only use it for filtering spam, reading email, grabbing various content, and backing up.  (The backing up is an issue which I can deal with separately.  I may get either an offline backup service or maybe get a few external hard drives.)

So, my primary requirement for a shell account is that it have qmail and at least 10GB of disk space.  For a VPS, I would need 10GB and the ability to install the Debian of my choice :-).

Do you have any suggestions/recommendations?
