sneakemail payment not going through

ROBERT: hi. i discovered that one of my autopay payee's have changed
their address. if the check gets returned in the mail, will my account be
reimbursed for the amount?

Kim D.: Yes, but in case the check gets lost, we need to do a stop payment
on it. We would need to put thru a work order to make sure the check
hasn't been cleared. May I have your account number please?

ROBERT: before we start this, a question: is there a fee to do a
stop payment?

Kim D.: Not on a Billpay check,

ROBERT: OK, hold on. lemme get my account #.

Kim D.: Have your created a new payee for this merchant with the correct
address?

ROBERT: no, I corrected the existing payee's address.

Kim D.: Okay. Once this payment is stopped, you would need to reissue them
a new pmt.

ROBERT: OK. Maybe I should tell them before I stop the payment?

Kim D.: I would do that, yes.

ROBERT: OK. I guess I should stop the payment after I hear back from
sneakemail (Kevin).

Kim D.: So you would not like me to put thru the work order to stop the
check now?

ROBERT: yeah, I guess not.

Kim D.: The check was showing it should have been received on 8/11.

Kim D.: It has not cleared yet.

ROBERT: OK. will I have to go through this whole process again if I
wanna stop the payment?

Kim D.: Yes.

ROBERT: oh, well. I think it's better to go through this again
rather than having Kevin have to pay a fee because the check bounced.

Kim D.: Okay.
