Meetup Description
Hi fellow plant eater, I hope this email finds you well. As I mentioned last month, a new vegan Filipino restaurant was set to open in Downtown Oakland. Well, it's open! No Worries is on Franklin at 14th St., just a block from Golden Lotus. The menu looks really good, and since everything's vegan, we can order anything! I've never had Filipino food before, but I'm really looking forward to it. I think a lot of us will have a hard time deciding what to order--it all looks yummy. I went in there today to make our reservation, and they actually moved their grand opening event to accommodate us. Remember that to ensure everyone's comfort, all food ordered whenever we eat together must be vegan. As always, please be considerate of your fellow plant eaters and RSVP yes only if you have every reason to believe you will be able to make it. And thanks to those who change their RSVPs well in advance so people on the waiting list can make plans to attend. I pay Meetup $180 per year to organize this group. That doesn't include my time and energy in making reservations, answering emails, and such. Please chip in a couple bucks to reimburse me. It's in addition to your meal and much appreciated.
