Last May, I organized a dinner at Flacos, a vegan restaurant in adjacent to the Ashby BART station. But I was illin' that night and couldn't make it, so I'm trying again.
Flacos serves tamales, chalupas, taquitos, pozole, and more, some made with veggie chicken, Soyrizo (vegan chorizo), or hominy. Flacos is popular and highly rated. It's a small place, so I'm capping this meetup at 20, and even at that, some of us will need to use their outdoor seating.
I pay Meetup almost $200 per year to organize this group. That doesn't include the time and energy I spend choosing restaurants, making reservations, answering emails, and such. So please chip in a couple bucks to reimburse me, either here or at the event (try to remember so I don't need to ask). You do not need to have a Paypal account to use Paypal, just a credit card.
If you have any ideas about handling no-shows, I'm all ears. Please just don't be one of them. If you can't come after all, just change your RSVP ASAP.
If you're bringing guests (great!), please put their first names in the comments, so I can make name tags for them.
