Hi Noelle,

I called you earlier -- the news I was going to tell you is that we've
decided Elie should quit.

He has seen the orthopedist who says he will not get better unless he
takes some serious time off his feet to recuperate.

So, he's going to give notice this weekend (unfortunately not in time
for your "f?te").  However, this means we should
be able to potluck and have you guys over for dinner soon.  As for
going out to eat, we'll be putting that on hold for awhile.

Give me a call when you have a minute.

Got most of my final grades in and am off for a walk.
