Thanks also for the "How to Escape Quicksand" postcard. You mailed it awhile
ago...I 'm sorry to hear you haven't found a new job. You're not alone, as
you know. I must say, I am disappointed that Obama is no FDR & hasn't come
up with a modern equivalent to the WPA...but then again, FDR also imprisoned
the Japanese and went along with some segregation ideas. So no one is
perfect, I'll still vote for him to be re-elected.
 
I'm just waiting for this baby to be born. I think I told you I am pregnant
again? He is due 7/16. My memory is very poor. Must be the effect of
hormones + sleep deprivation. Don't worry, this is the last baby: Zero
population growth means replacement is OK, right? I am very excited. Bridget
has been a great kid, so #2 will be too, right? Right? Right?

Here's a good book for you that I just finished: "Unbowed," a memoir by
Nobel Peace Prize laureate Wangari Maathai. I got it at our library.

That's it for now, Noelle. Say hi to Robert. I may be hard to get ahold of,
even more so than I have been in the past 2 years, going forward, because
this baby will add a new and interesting dimension to our lives, which are
already complicated by our busy toddler.
