Hello Robert! Hello Diana! Thank you both for your responses. I'm sorry to hear that the original balloon is somewhat deflated. I just visited the Mountain View cohousing group this past weekend and got a very strong vibe of energy and do-ability. They are about to break ground and have commitments already for 17 of the 19 units which will be constructed. The remaining units are the more expensive ones, and I was looking to downsize, so this may not work for me. Their enthusiasm is contagious. The idea of cohousing is a winning one. Can we talk/meet for coffee some time? I'm sure we have interests in common. I am presently working full time so a Sat. or Sun. would be best for me. Thanks again for answering my email! The fact that you are just “forming” does not discourage me, as I am looking for a long-term solution to my residential aspirations! The timing could work out just fine. At the moment I am living in the old family house in Saratoga, having re-entered after 30 years abroad. This house will soon be sold, and while I hate to leave, I look forward to something new and even better suited to me. I grew up in this region, went to college at Stanford, but spent most of my adult life in Italy! Coming back has been a wonderful homecoming, though not without some wistfulness for the beautiful country I left. But home is a very good place to be, and having been gone so long, I really appreciate everything the Bay Area has to offer. So yes, I’d love to hear more about > “Silicon Valley Cohousing”. > > Thanks for the project you are undertaking! > Kim Nameny > (953) 869-5656
