In the lower right (possibly, you may need to click the triangle to find the volume control), there should be a speaker symbol. That should be the volume control. After you click that, going into the Mixer and then follow the above directions. It's possible that the volume control is hidden. If so, right click on the white triangle and click on the Properties. Scroll through the list until you find the Volume symbol. Change it to "on" and click OK.
