It seems that this author is treating stress like grit: something that nobody likes but everybody needs. I don't think anybody needs either stress nor resilience. Also, the distribution of stress is completely ignored. Black people are generally under more stress, and that's reflected in their worse health outcomes. Stress is probably part of everybody's lives, but it's not fair that stress is piled onto some but not others.
