Do not bother trying to unlock it yourself. I think this will be too technical for you. I just now read more about unlocking AT&T phones. My sister should be able to unlock your phone as long as you did not set up a PIN for the phone. If you did, it may not be possible, or could be very difficult. It looks like your phone fits all the other requirements for unlocking, 'tho. My sister's address is below.
