It always comes back to that most relevant notion: when did our Jewish ancestors decide it was time to give up their home and move far away? (Many Palestinians were faced with that at several points over the last 50 years. It's probably too late for the ones who remain, much like the Jews in Europe around 1940.) The problem with the global climate disaster is that there is no longer anywhere to run. We're like the people on Easter Island watching the last tree get cut down -- with or without nuclear power.
