CA ALTERNATE RATES FOR ENERGY (CARE)
PGEâ??s CARE and FERA programs provide monthly discounts on energy bills for 
income-quali�ed households.

ENERGY SAVINGS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (ESA)
This program helps income-quali�ed renters and homeowners improve the comfort,
health and safety of their homes
with appliance upgrades and home repairs at no charge.

REACH, a one-time energy assistance program sponsored by PG&E, helps 
income-quali�ed customers who
experience severe or unplanned hardships and are unable to pay for their energy

GRID Alternatives is a nonpro�t that installs solar systems for

RECYCLING
During your Green House Call, our Energy Specialists may have provided you
with a recycling guide. You can also recycle household hazardous waste at
designated facilities. Contact your local facility for acceptable items,
drop-o� times, and possible residency requirements.

In general, the following items can be recycled at designated facilities:
Fluorescent bulbs, household batteries, cleaners, and sprays Paint, stain,
varnish, thinner, and adhesives Auto products such as old fuel, motor oil,
�lters, and batteries Garden products, including pesticides and
fertilizers Home generated â??sharpsâ?? waste, in
approved containers Compact �uorescent lightbulbs (CFLs) that
have burnt out can also be dropped o� for recycling at:
Home Depot, Loweâ??s, or Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH)
Broken CFLs should be cleaned up with a damp paper towel and placed in a
Ziploc bag before recycling.
