Brexit and authoritarianism

I'd argue that Brexit was more than half the issue. If the UK had still allowed European immigration, it would be in a lot better shape than it is now. And, w.r.t. the political parties: it seems like they are just as a bad as the United States and Canada and probably some other countries with their, essentially, two-party system that never let things move forward. I think it's no wonder that people gravitate towards authoritarian leaders or even support coup d'etats just to break out of the endless cycle. A very sad reflection on humanity, I'd say. 😔
