I intentionally took easy courses my senior year in high school just so I
could spend more time in the computer center.

I don't regret this, except I wish I had stayed in the more rigorous
mathematics courses.  He may want to stay in those.  Then, he can have
more time to do the computer stuff, including being an assistant.

Computer courses are really easy in general and I wouldn't waste my time
with them until he gets to college/university.  College computer science
is extremely fun.
